Introducing Molly… Our little Saint Bernard pup who joined the family on Mother’s Day. She is 13 weeks old and sweet as can be. Annie seems to like all the extra walkies and snacks, though she doesn’t understand why we need to collect every stick in the yard. The cats are accepting, so long as she keeps her distance. And the rest of us are simply smitten.

Spring seems to have finally decided to descend upon us, making for a violet gathering weekend.

The girls helped me pick a big jar, which we steeped for two days and turned into another year’s worth of violet syrup (good for sore throats!).

We also gathered enough dandelions to make a little batch of dandelion wine – a first try for me! Can’t wait to see how it turned out!!

It started with me cleaning up (and getting running) a sewing machine that’s been in the shed for 8+ years… Next thing I knew I was sewing a coffee press cozy.
