I hadn't thought of those sofas in years! Must try and find a picture so C can see the true pumpkinocity of those cushions. Not that I would ever want to experience this... but there is always THE SWOOP. Might be a little dangerous in a teenage boy's room though. Just dump it all in a big box, hide the box under a blanket, and nothing can come out unless it is used immediately and then put away properly. The ones that didn't - my old kitchenware, good tools, my husband's collection of basic theological books, the packbasket - are now so much more meaningful. I too had stashes of fabrics and scraps, having been both an ambitious collage artist and a potential sewer. Now I sew for real, and only obtain fabric when I need it.
