To ‘discuss’ Santa… fa la la la la la la la!
Just kidding.
Though I am thinking that it’s time for a revised and updated treatise on the jolly old elf. It’s been on my mind, but I’ll save that for later.
It’s getting chilly here in good ol’ Tennessee. The yard is covered in leaves – and [...]

Apparently I took the summer off.
It was not an intended vacation… and several times I came and stared at the screen thinking of things to write – but alas, nothing came out. There are tons of pictures – but none of them got posted. Lots of silly, crafty, happy & sad things happened (like summer [...]

So quickly the year has passed and it’s already time for another “Heather with ashes on her forehead” picture.
Every year at Lent I try really hard to think of what I should fast from. Traditionally, folks do meat… or some other foodie thing they should consume less of. Since I’m already a vegetarian, and started [...]

I just spent about an hour re-reading old posts from a long forgotten blog. I’d gone looking for some long-lost poem I’d written for jme… I wanted to find it and re-gift it to him for Valentines Day.
Reading the stories of my life over the past 5 years was rather cathartic. Loads of drama. A [...]

Oh sweet lungs don’t fail me now
Your burning has turned into fear
It drills me in my every step, I’m moving quick
But you’re always on my heels
Just one more breath, I beg you please
Just one more step, my knees are weak
My heart is sturdy but it needs you to survive
My heart is sturdy but it needs [...]

I haven’t written in a while. I got a little scared off and a lot pissed off.
See, it seems that my blog was referenced in court a few months ago by someone who’s got an ax to grind with me. Seems’ that I’m too lax of an educator… all because of one post about the [...]

One of them knocked my camera off the computer hutch the other day. It is broken. For real. I can’t even turn it on because the little switch-thingie is totally broken. Darned cat was probably hunting the frog (who’s tank is on top of the hutch)… and here I was thinking I’d put the camera [...]

We spent two weeks with family this summer… it was great! It was a whirlwind tour of Washington D.C. , Busch Gardens, Jamestown & Williamsburg. There is so much I could say, but I’ll just let our pictures speak for themselves…

Emily tagged me… so I’ll oblige, but I won’t tag anyone else. I will however challenge your readers to do your own and post a comment here if you do!
1. What did you do 10 years ago?
In July of 1998 I was in Birobidzhan, Far East Russia as a missionary. While there I [...]

So, in addition to the garden growing, we’ve got kids getting bigger by the day. Rory-belly turned 9 on Monday. She’s sharing a party w/ Em (who’s nearly 7!)… those pictures will come next week.
The garden is actually looking like a garden. We’re gonna be swimming in veggies soon!
Maybe Rory will [...]
