This morning (technically, yesterday morning), while I was dusting the study a bookcase fell over. More accurately, it began listing to the right – rather sharply. I managed to catch it… sort of. Now I’m one bookcase shorter, and a ton of books had to be forced to live on the already [...]

I was awoken this morning by little girls who were beside themselves that they’d found clementines, peppermints and bookmarks in their shoes. Knowing that my children can be so overjoyed by such simple things makes me feel I’ve done a good job.
I originally wrote this last year… but I think it’s worth repeating.

The dust has settled and things are better then we’d expected. We still have four children who live in our home. There are guidelines in place to insure that they will be safe when they are not here. They are also happy with the arrangements.
